CandidateX shortlisted for Sustainability competition!

CandidateX is thrilled to have been shortlisted to the final 3 of Eulogy and FuturePlus' Elevator 2022 competition! ????

Eulogy, has partnered with leading sustainability tech platform FuturePlus, for its third Elevator programme, with a focus on helping SMEs advance their actions and ambitions on sustainability progress.

Despite increased awareness of the importance of positive sustainability practices among SMEs and a growing appetite to improve their sustainability credentials, recent research¹ suggests that many still face barriers in realising their sustainability ambitions:

  1. One-third believe sustainability will be too expensive for them to implement during 2022
  2. Over a quarter cite lack of time to dedicate to sustainability and lack of in-house skills as a barrier to progress

Eulogy’s Elevator 2022 programme will help early-stage ventures identify, measure, advance, and amplify their sustainability progress in a way which supports business resilience and long-term growth.

Through Eulogy, the winner will receive marketing, communications and branding consultancy services to the value of £30,000. Through FuturePlus, the winner will benefit from an annual FuturePlus subscription and a Sustainability Strategy Workshop. It will receive a verified sustainability score across five sustainability themes, and an ambition score linked to its long-term sustainability intentions as well as ongoing consultancy and a roadmap to advance its progress across each.

Lis Field, CEO, Eulogy, said; “We’ve always been committed to driving positive change within our own communities, for our clients and for society more widely. We’ve chosen sustainability as the focus of our competition this year, primarily because we know that good business is good for business. But the growing prominence of ESG criteria has put sustainability at the heart of business resilience, ethical growth and performance and coincides with a time when early-stage ventures are doubling down on their covid comebacks.”

Susie Dullard, Social Impact Director, Eulogy, commented: “We’re all aware of the increasing urgency to act on climate change, but sustainability isn’t just about environmental commitments. The next era of brand building will be intrinsically linked to sustainability progress across broader themes such as cultural diversity, social equity and good governance. It’s about progress, not perfection. We’re improving our own sustainability progress with FuturePlus and through our partnership and the competition this year, we have a chance to support early-stage ventures on their own important journey.”

This year’s judging panel includes individuals from the sustainability and communications industry as well as other influential representatives. Joining Lis Field, CEO of Eulogy and Susie Dullard, Director of Social Impact at Eulogy is Mike Penrose, Co-founder and partner of The Sustainability Group, Alex Smith, Co-founder and partner of The Sustainability Group and Jamila Brown, Head of House Foundations, Soho House.

Alex Smith, Co-founder & Partner, The Sustainability Group, comments: “We are thrilled to be part of Elevator 2022 as nothing is more valuable than helping the next generation of business develop with sustainability at the core of their planning. These are young companies with enormous potential to make a great deal of positive impact and working alongside Eulogy to help them achieve their objectives is a huge privilege”.
